Painted Feathers

I was commissioned to do some paintings on Pheasant feathers this month.. Also one on Turkey Feathers.. The Pheasant feathers were a first time for me .. I can tell you now they are not as easy to paint on as a Stronger feather such as a Turkey .. they are a lot softer and split a lot easier.. The lady I did these for provided me with tail feathers all in tact and I had to take them all apart and basically put them back together in order to get a flat surface to paint on.. took 3 tail sections to make one flat surface. All in all they turned out okay for what she asked me to paint.. The Big Bass fish ? I don’t think I would like hanging in my home but the other 2 yeah they could stay.. Ha !.. anyway enjoy and maybe one day you would wish to try it yourself..
